Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect at my first visit?
You and your child can expect to be greeted warmly and made to feel comfortable with a tour of our clinic. We encourage you to observe your child’s evaluation. This will give you a better understanding of our findings and recommendations. Following the evaluation, your child will be allowed supervised play in our gym while we discuss your child’s strengths and your areas of concern.
What happens next?
We will set up a consultation with caregivers to review the findings of the evaluation and make recommendations.
How frequently will my child receive treatment?
It depends of the findings in the initial assessment. Most children attend 1-2 times per week. We do our best to accommodate the busy lives and schedules of our families.
Can I observe my child during therapy?
Yes, you are always welcome to observe. We strive to develop a strong relationship between the child and therapist. You and your therapist can best determine the conditions under which your child can reach his or her maximum potential on any given day.
How can I help my child?
We recognize that you are the expert on your child’s strengths. We will customize practical home programs. We offer teacher consultations, school visits and ARD advocacy. We are here to assist you in maximizing your child’s potential while keeping your family in balance.
Do you take insurance?
We accept most insurance plans. We will call your insurance company to verify benefits. If you are out of network we will help you file your claims. If therapy is not covered under your insurance plan please inquire about our cost effective small group supplementary programs that may benefit your child.
